It may still be a lovely summer day, but the November ballot questions before Rhode Island voters are already decided. As a reminder, September 9th is the Democratic Primary. These ballot questions are placed on the November election, where the winner of my race is placed without an opponent. Here is a look at a few important statewide ballot questions before Rhode Island voters.
Each day we read of new data and mapping that points to flooding, drought and storms. There is no longer any reason to argue over the science. Rhode Islanders want their government to provide clear guidance and standards for the use of scientific and technical information to prepare for these problems using practical, cost effective solutions.
What could be better than summer in Newport? We are blessed with a thriving tourism economy and our City by the Sea is filled with wonderful events, fabulous summer weather and the vision of many possibilities. But at what cost?
